This audiobook read largely like a stream of consciousness with specific advice appearing only rarely. I recommend pairing this author's contribution with others if you want to explore beyond the mechanics of isolated enjoyment.more But is doesn't approach the totality of a person's life experience and how one might discover meaningful purpose and sustained happiness, while also experiencing excellence in the subsets of our life's experience. What this book lacks are observations have been made about which activities seem to drive longer lasting meaning than others? Most of his applications highlight that Flow is observed it short durations in specific focus areas of person's life. Why am I alive? What is a meaningful purpose? For some, it is hard to enjoy being alive with out reconciling some of these mental hurdles. However, philosophy (or at least his attempt) is only adequate at resolving the deeper burning questions of the human heart.
